Available to most students is the $10,000 scholarship drawing at freecollegescholarships.net.  To qualify for the drawing, you simply need to be a U.S. resident and be 18 years of age or older.  You get a ticket into the scholarship giveaway by registering at their site.  Don’t miss the next deadline, register now to get a chance to win the $10K scholarship.

The Akademos scholarship is available to undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled in a U.S. accredited college or university.  Students must be legal residents of the United States or be international students with valid visas to be eligible to apply.  The application process involves a 250-750 word essay on what should be done to stop the proliferation of nuclear weapons.  There are three awards available anywhere from $250 all the way up to $2000.  The funds can be used to pay for certain majors and for any areas of study.

When applying for scholarships, remember to apply for as many as you think you qualify for.  The trick is to apply for as many as you can because the law of averages will eventually catch up to you and you will get scholarship money.  It’s just a matter of applying to enough scholarship programs until you get your sahre of financial aid.
